Disinfectant Virucide Spray for Medical, Dental, Veterinary, Farm & Home Use

BenzaRid, a Ready-to-Use (RTU) Hospital Disinfectant, Virucide, Fungicide, and Mildewstat, has been developed in accordance with the EPA Emerging Viral Pathogen Program, with the EPA Registration Number 10324-85-88904. This product is a One-Step Hospital-Use Cleaner, Disinfectant, Virucide, Fungicide, and Mildewstat for Disinfecting Hard, Non-Porous Non-Food Contact Surfaces, and it effectively kills 99.99% of Bacteria, Viruses, Flu, and Fungi*.

BenzaRid Disinfectant Cleaner is effective against a wide range of pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Avian Influenza A (H1N1, H1N2,H5N1), Virus Hepatitis A,C Virus (HCV),(Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus), Influenza A (H1N1) Virus, Avian Influenza A (H5N2), Virus Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1,(H3N2) Virus, Hantavirus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (R.S.V.), Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 Virus) (SARS Coronavirus 2), Hepatitis B Virus, and Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1* (HIV-1) (AIDS Virus). Indicates a 2-minute contact time is required for this claim, and ***Indicates a 1-minute contact time is required for this claim.

In terms of bacterial disinfection performance, this product kills a variety of bacteria, including Bordetella bronchiseptica, Enterobacteriaciae (Multi-Drug Resistant), Escherichia coli (Multi-Drug Resistant), Legionella pneumophila, Listeria monocytogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Multi-Drug Resistant), Salmonella enterica, Salmonella enterica Typhi, Shigella, Staphylococcus aureus Hospital Acquired Methicillin Resistant (Multi-Drug Resistant), Staphylococcus aureus, Methicillin Resistant, Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE) (Multi-Drug Resistant), and Streptococcus pyogenes, in 10 minutes on hard, non-porous surfaces with 5% soil.

BenzaRid is a non-staining, colorless professional formulation used by professionals to remediate after flood and water damage. It is proven to eradicate areas contaminated with Avian Influenza H1N1, H5N1 virus, MRSA, HIV/AIDS, HSV 1 & 2, Hepatitis B & C, and Mycotoxin Black Mold (including Aspergillus Niger, and others) within 10 minutes of contact.

Regarding fungicidal and mildewstatic performance, this product kills Candida albicans and Trichophyton interdigitale (formerly T. mentagrophytes) (Athlete's foot fungus a cause of Ringworm) in 10 minutes on hard, non-porous surfaces with 5% soil. It also controls Aspergillus niger mold for 7 days on hard, non-porous surfaces with 5% soil.

For use as a general, hospital medical disinfectant and virucide, the instructions are as follows: 1. Pre-clean visibly soiled areas. 2. Apply this product undiluted to disinfect hard, non-porous, non-food contact surfaces with a sponge, brush, cloth, or mechanical spray device. For spray applications, spray 6-8 inches from the surface. Do not breathe the spray. 3. Treated surfaces must remain wet for 10 minutes. 4. Wipe dry or allow to air dry. 5. Change the solution when it becomes visibly dirty.

For surgical instrument presoak, pour the ready-to-use product undiluted into a container, place pre-cleaned instruments in the solution to presoak for a minimum of 10 minutes, then proceed with the normal sterilization procedure. Note that plastic instruments can remain immersed until sterilization, while metal instruments must be removed after 10 minutes, rinsed, dried, and kept in a clean, non-contaminated receptacle until the sterilization procedure. Prolonged soaking will cause damage to metal instruments. Surgical instruments must be sterilized before use.

The active ingredients in BenzaRid are Alkyl (50%C14, 40%C12, 10%C16) dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride 0.034%, Octyl decyl dimethyl ammonium chloride 0.026%, Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride 0.013%, and Dioctyl dimethyl ammonium chloride 0.013%, with Other Ingredients comprising 99.914% of the total composition.
